Do at your own risk

System Maintenance

Be sure to run Disk Cleanup, and Disk Defragmenter at least once a month or more

Go to Start > Programs >Accessories >System Tools and you will find Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter

Customize your Internet Options

Open your internet explorer browser and click on Tools >Internet Options

on the General Page, click on Delete Cookies, then Delete Files (make sure you check the box that says delete all offline content). Next lower the amount of days to keep pages in History. Next Click on the settings button. A new window will open. Here you should lower the amount of disk space to use to under 100. Then click on the view objects button.   I usually remove anything with a number or things I don't recognize by right clicking and clicking remove. If you are in doubt right click and click properties. You can pretty much remove anything in here without messing up your computer. Close the window when you are done then go to the tab on the top that says ADVANCED. Scroll down until you see the box checked that says enable third party browser extensions. Take the check mark out then click ok. Shut Down Internet Explorer and the settings will take effect next time you open your browser.

Also it is important you do not use a preview pane in your mail program, as this can potentially open a virus infected email automatically.

These are just a few basic things you can do on your own. I will soon be setting up a support site so add this page to your favorites and check back!!!
